InterContinental Hotels Group is the largest hotel company in the world. And they have been quietly using social media for a couple years. But unless you are one of their loyalty members, you likely do not know anything about their social media.

That is because they have focused on learning form their customers in private communities. From improving their loyalty credit card to using customer photos in advertising creative, they have seen real results from their private community investments.
